Case Study Brian Banks
Brian Banks is a composer of music which is used in film scores, advertising and beyond. With a foot on either side of the pond, Brian services clients in London and Los Angeles and anywhere in between.
Over the years Brian had picked up a couple of websites and brands to his name and the realisation he came to was that it was time to bring all of these aspects together so that they all sung off the same hymn sheet.
Our challenge was to refine and realign the Brian Banks brand and create a platform for it to sing aloud online.
Branding is an emotive and subjective task at the best of times, but it can be especially so when the brand is an individual.
Brian’s openness and our ‘scientific’ approach combined to make smooth progress. We captured the requirement in a creative brief which allowed Brian and the designers to come together to a point of understanding.
The designers provided a mood board response to the brief which allowed Brian to feedback on a general approach, before getting bogged down with fonts, colours and web design. From this visual start point, the designers created a number of routes which Brian and his wife Sarah were able to respond to together.
Once the brand was set [think of it as the thumping base line to the music] we got busy with creating a stunning theme for Wordpress that allowed Brian to showcase his portfolio of work in an engaging and impressive fashion.
Brian now has a brand and a website worthy of the name, Brian Banks. His new site is getting rave reviews from both sides of the pond, which is always a tough thing to achieve, just ask Cheryl Cole!
Brian Banks Music is the culmination of a lot of hard work and passion and it shows.
When we look back at what was achieved for the budget we can honestly say that together we’ve penned a classic which will stand the test of time. It’s just a shame you don’t get royalties for great web design.
