Green Capital
The challenge
Bristol Partnership's initiative, Green Capital, aims to make Bristol a low carbon city with sustainable communities enjoying a high quality of life. We were commissioned by Bristol Partnership to create a brand identity and new website that reflects all that the Green Capital initiative represents, along with devising a challenging strapline that encourages local businesses to get involved.
Our approach
We developed the site on the flexible open-source platform, Drupal. With Drupal the team can easily publish, manage and organise the extensive array of content available on the site, and with a simple tagging system users can navigate with ease to information relevant to their needs. The site gently but firmly guides users to participate in Green Capital's desired objectives.
The results
Within the first month of its launch 40 Bristol businesses signed the Green Capital pledge, committing themselves to developing an action plan and reporting progress publicly. Also, we've been in discussion to look at ways to encourage more local organisations to get involved, and look forward to our working collaboration with the Green Capital continuing well into the future.

It was great working with a company that used their creativity and insight to come up with some options for a Green Capital logo that were a superb response to the brief. If anything, the difficulty was to choose which among the excellent solutions offered to run with.
