The challenge

BHP Information Solutions, a company that helps businesses connect with the SME market, teamed up with Google and the Royal Mail and challenged us to design and develop a platform for their Donut site – “the mother of all SME websites: with better, more practical advice than anything that currently exists, plus a vibrant community.”

Our approach

We had plenty of scope to create a clean, upbeat and engaging design that immediately draws users to the array of practical advice packed into the site. Using web 2.0 technologies the content managed site features rich text media and online tools that will help build an online community for SMEs throughout the UK.

The results

With expert contributors regularly posting on the blog and plenty of Twittering action, Team Donut's marketing strategy has seen the site receive nationwide interest. With such great support it is set to be the top business resource site for small business owners in the UK.
